Multimax Takes On Expanded Role For FAA Program

Multimax takes on additional responsibility as Subcontractor to Harris Corporation for the FAA Telecommunications Infrastructure (FTI) Program

Herndon, VA. (July 18, 2006) Multimax, Inc.—the premier resource for performance-based enterprise IT and communications services for Department of Defense and civilian agencies — announced today it has received an expanded scope of work under a new subcontract with Harris Corporation for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Telecommunications Infrastructure (FTI) Program.

Under the new subcontract, Multimax is responsible for ongoing Operations and Maintenance of Harris's FTI microwave communications program. The subcontract has a base period of five years, with six one-year options.

Multimax will continue to perform its present duties as an FTI subcontractor to Harris, including FTI field maintenance at some 5,000 FAA locations dispersed throughout the United States, and the assignment of network engineers and technicians to numerous FAA sites.

Led by Harris Corporation, the FTI program is a 15-year initiative to integrate and modernize the FAA’s telecommunications network. The FTI program will improve operations functions at FAA facilities nationwide while reducing operating costs, enhancing network security, and improving telecommunications service, performance, reliability and quality.
