Multimax to Support U.S. Marine Corps Enterprise IT Services Program
Herndon, Va. (October 24, 2006) – Multimax, Inc. – one of the premier resources for performance-based enterprise information technology (IT) and communications services for Department of Defense and civilian agencies – announced today that it has been awarded two subcontracts to provide infrastructure management and service delivery support services under the Marine Corps Enterprise Information Technology Services (MCEITS) program.
MCEITS prime contractor Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) awarded the subcontracts to Multimax. According to SAIC Division Manager, Gary Hartless, “SAIC worked with Multimax because of the company’s experience with Marine Corps networks, their local presence in major USMC locations, and ability to provide on-site assistance in support of application migrations.”
Under one of the subcontracts, for service delivery support, Multimax will provide survey, installation, management, maintenance, and network engineering services. Multimax’s new work will extend over five years, if all option periods are exercised.
Under the other subcontract, for infrastructure management, Multimax will provide IT services based on the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) process, including:
- Project Management
- IT Center Operations and Sustainment
- System Migrations
- Disaster Recovery / Continuity of Operations
